MyCME: On-line CME Courses

Healthy Habits for Kansas Kids
Online Childhood Obesity Education Pilot Program

The Kansas Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (KAAP) is looking for healthcare providers (MD, DO, PA, NP, NPN, RN, LPN, RD) to pilot and provide feedback for their childhood obesity online continuing education program and supporting materials. There are 4, 1 hour modules on the KS-TRAIN website of KDHE. The modules reflect the 2007 Expert Committee Recommendations on the Assessment, Prevention and Treatment of Child and Adolescent Overweight and Obesity released by the AMA. In exchange for their feedback, piloting providers will receive Free CME or CEU nursing credits, a Best Practices guide, a pediatric BMI wheel, and a CD of provider, patient and youth resources that can be used for duplication.

Dr. Charles Butrick will move to Friday October 2nd from 4:50 to 5:40 pm. His lecture will remain the same.

Cindy Ek, RN, CWOCN, will speak on Saturday October 3rd, from 10:15 to 11:05 am. The topic will be Basic Wound Management.

Friday October 2nd, from 7-8 am we will have a sponsored program for breakfast.
