The purpose of the Physician Assistant of the
Year Award is to honor a Kansas PA who has demonstrated exemplary
service to the PA profession and has furthered the image of
Physician Assistants. Any PA is eligible who has been a KAPA
member in good standing for the past 3 years and does not
currently serve on the KAPA board of directors. You may participate
in the award competition by self nomination or nomination
by someone else. Following the nomination, the KAPA committee
member will send out application materials, that must be submitted
no later than 1 September. The judging committee will consist
of directed members appointed by the KAPA president. The committee
reviews the applicants and determines the award winner. The
winner will be recognized at the fall CME meeting and presented
with a plaque. The recipient will also have registration fees
waived for attendance at the fall CME, as well as KAPA membership
